Description
The church consists of a vaulted nave, the last span of which is surmounted by a spherical dome which supports the bell tower and preceded by a rectangular choir. A aisle to the north flanks the nave. The western wall of the bell is housed the bells in two arcades and supports the roof, with a bright track, higher than on the other three sides. Built at the end of the 11th century or probably in the 12th century and then modified, we can still see elements of the Romanesque era: the span of the bell tower and its dome on pendants, as well as the southern wall of the nave and that of the aisle, both partially renovated in the 19th century, and the choir, with the exception of the bedside bay. At the end of the 15th century or at the beginning of the 16th, it is necessary to attribute: the last span of the aisle, covered with a vault with ivy and tiercerons; choir windows; the west facade of the portal decorated with two sculptures (a pilgrim and Sainte-Madeleine); the upper part of the bell tower. Around 1893, windows were enlarged in the nave and the aisle, and others were added. Light vaults have replaced a wooden ceiling. In 1912, a detachment at the northeast corner of the aisle made the construction of a buttress.
